Pentagram baby blanket

Oh, what to make for the new parents with an h. P. lovecraft themed nursery that already  have everything?

I was surprised at the lack of pentagram themed knitting patterns for babies out there. Step it up, internet!

I used this pattern for the spiral blanket, you start in the middle and knit a circle out. The instructions are fabulously written. Possibly the best knitting instructions of all time. This blanket was a delight to make.

I used a size 8 circular needles and 3 skeins of black liberty wool yarn   1skien of white.

And now I can magic loop. This pattern taught me skills. Magic looping skills.

I alternated black and white rows in the center to create the all seeing eye. The edging is k a row white, purl a row white, knit a row black purl a row black. Repeat as desired.  It is easier, I found to purl on rows where you are NOT increasing. But, whatevs. It all works out.

I just crochet the pentagram on top with white when I was all done.

Black and white looks good and it's helpful for babie's eye development.
